What does the expression “(I) can take it or leave it” mean?
Definition: I am indifferent toward it.
Example: My wife likes Italian food. I can take it or leave it, but I’m willing to go to Italian restaurants to please her.
Note: “Take it or leave it,” by itself, as a command, is different—it means “You must make a decision now on this offer.”
