What does the expression “didn’t get the memo” mean?
Definition: was unaware of something that was common knowledge
Example: Everyone was supposed to come in to work over the weekend, but I guess Bob didn’t get the memo. He didn’t show up.
Note: No actual memo is necessarily involved.
