What does the slang expression “Pablum” mean?
Definition:
Dull, insubstantial written or spoken material
For example:
“His speech contained a lot of pablum and very few new ideas.”
Notes:
This is also used outside Canada, but it comes from the name of a baby food invented in Canada in 1931.
