What does the expression “shit happens” mean?
Definition: Bad events are part of life; c’est la vie.
Example: My car was broken into at the mall! I know, shit happens, but I really think they need better security.
Note: “Shit happens” is obscene. A non-obscene variant is “stuff happens.”
