What does the expression “slip someone a mickey” mean?
Definition: add a drug to an alcoholic drink in order to knock someone out
Example: I have no idea what happened last night—someone must have slipped me a mickey. When I woke up, I was lying in an alley.
Note: You may also hear “Mickey Finn,” which was the original form of this expression. Mickey Finn was a Chicago bartender. This expression is American.
