What does the idiom “Start with a Clean Slate” mean?
Definition:
To start over; to work on a problem without thinking about what has been done before
For example:
“We’ve reached a dead end with this project. I think it’s best to wait until next week and start with a clean slate.”
Notes:
This is rather old-fashioned, but still used.
