What does the idiom “Pass the Buck” mean?
Definition:
Transfer a problem to someone else
For example:
“The president passed the buck to Parliament, asking that body to begin a corruption investigation.”
Notes:
Although a “buck” is American slang for a dollar, this is very widely used elsewhere.
