What does the idiom “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine” mean?
Definition:
Fix something quickly, because if you don’t, it will just get more difficult to fix
For example:
“Why not repair the car now, when it’s just losing a little coolant? It’ll be much more expensive if we have to replace the radiator. A stitch in time saves nine.”
Notes:
This is an old English proverb.
