What does the idiom “Angel’s Advocate” mean?
Definition:
Someone who takes a positive outlook on an idea or proposal
For example:
“Everyone is criticizing the boss’s plan. But I’m going to play angel’s advocate and point out that it would reduce our expenses.”
Notes:
Much less common than its opposite, devil’s advocate.
